The Flying Start Advisory Team is based at the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre but the team works across the whole city. Our work aims to support children, as learners, within maintained and non–maintained settings in Cardiff. Our focus is children from three years to seven years – the new Foundation Phase.

We offer support to schools and settings through regular visits and training events. In addition, schools and settings are invited to participate in the Foundation Phase Forum and Conferences. We also arrange for individual professionals to visit other settings as part of their continuing professional development.
